Basin Climbing and Fitness is a brand new rock climbing gym in Waco, Texas. We are seeking a full time Operations Manager to work side by side with our General Manager and owners to get our startup climbing gym off the ground and direct the development of its culture and community. 

Below is a description of the role for Operations Manager, but we expect this role to adapt to fill the needs of a growing business. As Basin grows its offerings, the Operations Manager will play a key role in vetting, testing, and using data/feedback to inform the next steps in Basin's journey.

Mission:

Responsibilities:

Staff Management–

You will be responsible for staff hiring, training, and retention in coordination with the other managers. You will help to cultivate an exceptional staff team consisting of Facilitators, Lead Facilitators, Fitness Coaches, and Setters. You will be the point person for daily staff management.

Facility Maintenance–

You will be responsible for structuring, scheduling, delegating, and recording required facility and equipment maintenance in coordination with the other managers.

Retail–

You will be curating and maintaining our retail space. You will handle weekly analytics, inventory management, and staff retail training as well as seeking and procuring new products to add to our offerings. This will require you to stay up to date on industry trends and rhythms as well as the needs of our clientele. 

Customer Service–

You will be our point person for in-person and digital customer service. You will be responsible for developing customer service policies and standards as needed and continually training staff to improve service and customer experience.

Job Requirements:

• 3 years of staff management experience
• 3 years of customer service experience

Preferred experience:

• Experience managing a rock climbing gym
• Retail experience
• 5 years of staff experience

Compensation:

Full Time Salaried position, 40 hours per week

48k annually

6k annual benefits rate to start
